1,000 Doors: An Ecosystem of Love is being created as a large-scale, interactive, kinetic, public art piece that connects people’s experience of grief for their animal companions through a collective ecosystem of memory and love. Nobody should grieve alone.
Created by artist and GPBS founder, Eric Greene, it was inspired by various spiritual expressions, including mandalas, prayer flags, flowers, and communal prayer.
1,000 Doors was launched as an event at Reimagine: End of Life – San Francisco in 2018, and was interrupted at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
