Why this work matters—

Animals remind us of who we are. They lift our spirits and bring us back to earth. Those we cherish most are family. Yet when their lives here are done, too many people discover that they can’t memorialize them as they would other family members.

The Green Pet-Burial Society works to revitalize compassionate traditions of honoring the lives of animals we’ve loved and the relationships we’ve shared with them. Families deserve the freedom to honor cherished animals in the same way they honor one another—as family and as part of the natural world.  

With your help, we can reach more grieving families, protect sacred habitats of lasting memory, and support people in mourning so they may find comfort in the living earth, our shared home.
